Where did the universe originate?

Nobody knows…

There are theories, but whichever theory you prescribe to, from a black hole, from God, etc…invariably begs the question, where did that originate? And on ad infinitum…

The only logical conclusion that I can see, is that it just ‘is’.

That’s not an answer, of course, but it is the only thing that you can say with certainty.

I don’t know where it came from, so I just deal with the reality that ‘it is’.

What does this have to do with my life?

The only logical conclusion that I can see, is that it just ‘is’.

This is the most empowering belief you can have regarding your thoughts and feelings.

You don’t have to be a slave to them any more!

A basic tenant of meditation is that you observe thoughts and feelings without judgement, without being in them.

When you learn to view things as it just ‘is’ they no longer have power over you.

You no longer have to go and binge eat to try and escape sadness, you just recognise that you are sad, accept it and move on with life.

You don’t have to go out on a bender because you’re angry about something, you just recognise that you are angry, accept it and move on with life.

You can apply the logic and reason you always wished you could…

I feel sad/angry/frustrated/etc… “why don’t I go and exercise, that releases endorphins, relieves stress, floods the brain with serotonin and makes me feel great, not to mention I can channel that sad/angry/frustrated/etc. energy in to having an even more powerful workout, taking me further towards my fitness and body goals that make me happy in the medium-long term too”

It’s all about mindset

It’s all about how you perceive things. How you choose to perceive things.

You can choose to empower or disempower yourself…but only when you are in control.

Only when you can accept your thoughts and feelings, without having them spark impulsive and self-defeating reaction.

Only when you accept that it just ‘is’.
